Vita Industrial and WOLFFKRAN Visit Multiplex's Community Site in Elephant and Castle!
e believe in the power of community and collaboration, and we experienced just that at our recent visit to the iconic project at Elephant and Castle Town Centre in London run by Multiplex, Get Living and Delancey Real Estate. This innovative development is transforming the heart of the city into a vibrant hub for shoppers, retailers, and residents.
The Elephant and Castle Town Centre is set to become a beacon of urban renewal in Zone 1, offering:
- Almost 1635 new homes
- A brand new tube station
- A new campus for London College of Communication UAL
- 170,000 sq ft of shops, restaurants, and leisure spaces
- 2,000 full-time jobs for local services
- 1,230 new construction-related roles per year for the next decade
This development will breathe new life into the area, and we are excited to be a part of it. During our visit, we had the privilege of showcasing our Vita Load Navigator – an advanced technology designed for safe and precise lifting. This cutting-edge technology represents the future of industrial solutions, and we were energized to see it in action in the heart of London.
Take a look at this beautiful, but intricate, site and the VLN holding steady even when the London wind is in full force - and how quickly the VLN operator can maneuver the load at the push of a button! With multiple cranes, hundreds of workers and various tasks all maneuvering at the same time; being able to keep crews out of the danger zone, placing picks with unparalleled precision and ensuring loads don’t uncontrollably spin is a game changer. Measuring over 1,000 data points per second, the system detects load movement in real-time and adjusts the load with high-powered fans to eliminate spinning, rotations, and other problems that cause site damage or injuries.
