Vita Industrial partners with Great Lakes Lifting to bring load stabilization technology to Illinois

Vita Industrial, the maker of crane load stabilization and precision devices, announced Great Lakes Lifting will be a rental and sales hub in the Chicago area or the Vita Load Navigator, a device that uses a powerful system of sensors and air thrusters to automatically stabilize loads. Load stabilization can increase efficiency and precision on jobsites, resulting in greater profitability for crane owners.

“We’re thrilled to bring Vita Industrial’s load stabilization technology to Chicago and Illinois and change the way crane loads are handled on jobsites,” said Steven Brooks, business development manager at Great Lakes Lifting. “We’re always looking for technology that improves the way jobsites work. We believe Vita’s crane stabilization systems can make lifting both safer and more productive.”

Great Lakes Lifting is booking demos in and around Chicago for prospective renters and buyers out of its Peotone, Illinois, location.

“Vita Industrial is proud to add another fantastic dealer to our distributor network,” said Caleb Carr, chairman and CEO of Vita Inclinata, Vita Industrial’s parent company. “Crane companies in the U.S. and around the world are rapidly learning how load stabilization can substantially improve the work of crane operators and boost profitability. We’re excited to welcome Great Lakes Lifting to our family of distributors.”

The Navigator

The Vita Load Navigator uses aviation sensors to detect load position, wind speed, and more than 1,000 other data points per second. High-powered air thrusters dynamically adjust loads within milliseconds with up to 1° accuracy. The unit can be controlled via remote for precision lifting.

While taglines have been widely used in lifting, they’re unstable and potentially dangerous. With the Navigator, loads remain stable, in a pre-set orientation, despite wind or slew impacts on the load. The device eliminates the need for taglines and significantly enhances operational efficiency and jobsite safety.
